What is lng tanken?

LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) tanken is the process of refueling vehicles or ships with liquefied natural gas. LNG is a cleaner burning fuel compared to diesel or gasoline, and its use reduces greenhouse gas emissions from transportation.

LNG is stored in insulated tanks under low pressure (-160°C to -130°C) and is transported in liquefied form to filling stations or ships. LNG fueling stations typically have dispensers that are similar to those used for traditional fuels. The fuel is delivered to the vehicle or ship and is vaporized back into its gaseous state before it enters the engine.

LNG fueling infrastructure is growing globally, with more filling stations and ports offering the service. However, due to the high cost of LNG production and transport, the price of LNG may be higher than traditional fuels in some areas.

LNG tanken has several benefits, including reduced emissions, improved air quality, and lower fuel costs compared to diesel. However, it requires specialized equipment and infrastructure, which may be a barrier to widespread adoption.
